On March 19, 2023 the Mahila Wing and the Women’s support Group of the SSSIO TT held its first Clothing Drive for 2023 with the continued focus on:
- Protecting the planet: by donating clothing it prevents them from ending up in the landfill, where they can take years to fully break down, releasing harmful gases into the environment in the process.
- Helping others in the community.
The Drive took place at the Sai Nilayam (SSSIO TT Headquarters) where a core group of 20 Sai devotees assisted with the preparation and distribution of clothing and meals.
The Drive benefitted approximately 120 persons from the community including some families from the Sathya Sai Schools (Longdenville).
